MISSION: This site serves (1) as a virtual meeting place for the exchange of ideas and the coordination of programs and projects among environ-mental/conservation organizations and (2) as a supermarket of locally-focused natural-history information for students, political and business leaders, and concerned citizens, as well as environmental and conservation activists. (Unless otherwise noted, any material on this website may be reproduced and distributed for educational purposes.)

OWNERSHIP & RESPONSIBILITY: This site is owned and operated by Bexar Audubon Society on behalf of the San Antonio Environmental Network (SAEN), an informal framework for collaboration among environmental and conserva-tion organizations in the San Antonio region. SAEN is not a legal entity. In addition to this website, its functions include organizing/hosting quarterly public forums on environmental, conservation and community-development issues. (For SAEN public issues forum, see the Bexar Audubon Society calendar page at http://www.bexaraudubon.org/calendar.html.) Bexar Audubon is responsible for the contract with the Internet Service provider and for the contents of this site. We also link to other websites of interest to environmentalists and conservationists, but we undertake no responsibility for the content of those sites.

POLICY: We welcome submissions of content from knowledgeable individuals and other environmental/conservation groups and will allow a reasonable degree of freedom of expression. Thus, Bexar Audubon Society does not necessarily endorse or approve every opinion expressed on this site. How-ever, we are legally and morally responsible for the content and therefore retain the right to reject content that might create legal risks for Bexar Audubon Society or damage our public reputation. Due to space limitations of the website, we also must retain editorial prerogatives to control the volume and quality of content.
