Title.....................Classroom Garden Program.

 

Description..........A package of training, building materials, plants, seeds, soil

                            and assistance to enable schools to start educational

                            gardens. Teachers receive three hours' of basic training and

                            curriculum materials. In subsequent seasons, teachers can

                            get 3 hours' continuing education. Master garderners

                            provide advice as needed.

 

Target

Audience…..........Bexar County schools, K-12, but especially

                            intended for elementary students.

 

Cost....................$250 per school.

 

Location..............Your school.

 

Dates/Times........By arrangement.

 

Special

requirements……School picks up timbers and assembles to form planting

                            beds. School picks transplants, seeds, fertilizer each spring

                            and fall. School must complete a garden-use report on each

                            season, and hold a garden show/fair for children to show

                            results.
