Participants are expected to
contribute 40 hours
of service a year educating the public
on nature by
leading nature walks at
areas and nature
preserves; doing research; creating
demonstration
wildscapes; working with schools and youth
groups to start
outdoor classrooms, nature centers, and
birding/hiking/photography programs; public speaking;
working with
business to preserve urban forest; working
educational booths
at events; writing for publication;
helping to run the
Master Naturalist program; etc.
Participants should
be capable of moderate physical activity
and public
speaking.
